For many years I tried to fix my broken marriage and was on the verge of giving up—meaning,
there was almost a divorce. The Lord’s timing in my life was perfect. I didn’t know anything about God or the meaning of the cross
or how this had any meaning for my life. One day I received an invitation to go and hear about the Bible. I remembered I was in a
new converts’ class, and I decided to passively say I’d try God. The moment I received Christ in my heart I didn’t feel anything,
but I was encouraged to read God’s Word. Little did I know I was feeding the Lord within me. This was in 1996; and then I started
meeting with the local churches. My spirit was starving for the truth. I thank God for the shepherds in the church who came and are
still feeding me with Christ. Now I enjoy the Lord being mingled with me day by day. I thank God that I not only have the Holy Spirit,
but the whole Triune God being dispensed into me.
The Lord is gracious and merciful. He has kept me to this day. My marriage is together
for His testimony. I have found the real meaning of being a member in the Body of Christ and now I’m being built up together with
other believers to be the Lord’s glorious Bride for His return.
In the past I would consider my service to the Lord as a duty, even
as a sacrifice. This was vain, as I now realize in my experiences with the Lord that it is a privilege to be counted worthy to serve
such a wonderful Triune God.
