Through my son’s many years of persistent prayers, Our mighty God reached me and brought me out
of Satan’s grip, out of the darkness I was in.
I got saved on June 18, 1995 and was baptized in October 1995. After spending two years
in a denominational church, I found myself hungering for the truth and the fulfillment in God’s Word. I began to ask Him to lead me
to where I could hear His truth. Although I visited denominational churches, I still found no satisfaction.
After my son visited the
local church, he came home and shared with my daughter and me the rich experience he’d had of God’s speaking and the fellowship of
the Body. The following Sunday, we visited the local church in Fresno, which was different from the denominations I’d been to. So
I decided I’d go visit another denomination, but on the following Saturday, the Lord spoke to me and said, “Didn’t you ask me to lead
you to the truth?” I praise the Lord and thank Him for bringing me into the mutual blending, enjoyment, and satisfaction of the local
church. I thank the Lord that I can now experience His life-giving Spirit in me. I thank the Lord that I can partake of His living
Word as morning nourishment. I thank Him that He is the real food I eat. I am encouraged by the word from the Lord in John 6:32-35
“My Father gives you the true bread out of heaven. For the bread of God is He who comes down out of heaven and gives life to the world.…Jesus
said to them, I am the bread of life; he who comes to Me shall by no means hunger, and he who believes into Me shall by no means thirst.”
Amen, hallelujah! Praise the Lord! He who is the most high lives in me.
